Françoise (Francie) Ducros is a Canadian government official, and Prime Minister Jean Chrétien's communications director, who resigned after referring President George W. She has practiced law, worked for an NGO and held several Canadian government positions. For 10 years, she worked for the then Liberal government acting as chief of staff from 1993 to 1996 to Brian Tobin, former Minister of Fisheries and Oceans, and, from 1996 to 1999, as chief of staff to Stéphane Dion, then Minister of Inter-governmental Affairs. On June 12, 1999, Ducros became the director of communications for then-Prime Minister Jean Chrétien.
